AGNIK INTRODUCES BITS---BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE FROM TELEMATICS ---FOR LARGE-SCALE CLOUD-BASED MINING OF TELEMATICS DATA

Agnik is pleased to announce the arrival of Agnik-BITS, a cloud-based high performance distributed data mining system for extracting business intelligence from telematics data. Agnik-BITS is designed to support analysis of data from both the in-vehicle telematics devices with the Agnik Onboard Software and other third party devices that send data to the server on their own. The BITS-system extracts performance patterns from data, builds predictive models from various types of telematics data, and correlates those with the business process using state of the art link analysis techniques. In short, BITS opens up new revenue streams from vehicle-telematics data by combining this with various non-telematics data.

Agnik-BITS allows performing wide range of analytics on location and vehicle performance data in conjunction with vehicle context data such as financial information and historical records, among others. Examples include (1) trend analysis of performance data from vehicle sub-systems over time, (2) multi-variate modeling of diagnostic data, (3) detecting frequent patterns of failures, (4) comparative analysis of vehicles, (5) benchmarking, (6) predictive failures and (7) varieties of geo-spatial patterns from location data.

  2. BITS GUI: Use the BITS web-based graphical user interface to visualize the analytics or generate business intelligence reports.

  3. Third-Party GUI: One can also embed the BITS analytics within a third-party system to develop custom BITS-powered business intelligence applications.
