Pursuit

What is PURSUIT?
PURSUIT technology is a middle-layer that interfaces with existing network sensors. It allows computation of multi-organizational collective statistics and data mining models in a completely privacy-protected manner. PURSUIT can be hooked up with intrusion detection systems, virus scanners, malware detectors and firewalls deployed on your network. The collective results are easily accessible through a web-site.

PURSUIT Technology

  • PURSUIT is not a network sensor; it is a privacy-preserving glue-logic to hook up sensors.
  • PURSUIT uses privacy-preserving data mining technology for cross-domain network data analysis. PURSUIT does not share any privacy-sensitive data with other parties. Its proprietary "pattern preserving crypto" transforms data using distributed algorithms in such a way that the data-patterns can be extracted and shared without ever divulging the raw data.
  • PURSUIT deploys distributed data analysis algorithms that minimize communication cost and therefore offer a more scalable system with faster response time.
  • End-to-end solution for collaborative threat management with human-in-the-loop.

PURSUIT project is funded by US Department of Homeland Security.
